Carl attended the Berklee College of Music before transferring to the University of Miami where he graduated with a "Studio Music and Jazz" degree in 1990. Carl has extensive experience in performance, composition, music education, engineering and production.

Carl's debut album of original music was released in 1994 on Cane Records and sponsored by famed guitarist Pat Metheny. Carl has since released several self-produced full length original albums with Magic Elf and Carl Roa band. As well, Carl has produced and engineered numerous albums for local and national artists, including releases for Steve Vai's Favored Nations label.

Carl works as a product specialist for Digtech and Fortin Amplification. Carl's product videos are currently featured in Guitar World magazine. Carl is sponsored by Suhr Guitars, Fortin Amplification, Digitech, Seymour Duncan, GHS Strings, Xotic Effects and Tech21.

Carl has spent the past 10 years rigorously testing and experimenting with all phases of pro audio production and pro audio equipment in search of the ultimate production strategies for hard rock, progressive rock, jazz fusion and related types of music.

Dave Miranda has been involved in many different unique and diverse musical projects since 1983, including "Zappa-punk" legends, Six & Violence (featuring Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull on their first release) and progressive thrash/metal kings, Relatively Records recording artists, Ludichrist (later Scatterbrain). Dave has since released several self-produced full length original albums with instrumental progressive rock fusion band Magic Elf.

Dave has spent the past 10 years rigorously testing and experimenting with all phases of pro audio production and pro audio equipment in search of the ultimate production strategies for hard rock, progressive rock, jazz fusion and related complex types of music.
